This fellowship opportunity supports research at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Severe Storms Laboratory focused on decision-making under uncertainty related to high-impact, short-fused weather events such as severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. The research addresses the entire forecasting and decision-making process, including:
- How information is extracted from numerical weather models and used by forecasters.
