    Description

This opportunity from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is designed to facilitate the career transition of investigators who are new to entrepreneurship and interested in working within small businesses. The program supports small business concerns (SBCs) in employing and developing researchers as entrepreneurial Program Directors/Principal Investigators (PDs/PIs), combining research and development activities with structured entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and career development. The primary goal is to help scientists and professionals with strong technical backgrounds but limited entrepreneurial experience to acquire the skills necessary to lead independent research projects and commercialize health-related technologies and products aligned with the NIH mission.
