Description
The U.S. National Science Foundation’s Focused EPSCoR Collaborations (FEC) program supports investigator-driven STEM research and education partnerships across EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions. Teams bring together complementary expertise and resources to pursue research challenges they could not address as well or as rapidly within a single jurisdiction. NSF announces the competition’s focus area through a biennial Dear Colleague Letter.
FEC aims to strengthen research infrastructure and competitiveness while building sustainable STEM capacity. Projects integrate research, education, and workforce development; involve and mentor early-career faculty; and show how participating jurisdictions and their communities will benefit. The program is administered through NSF’s Office of Integrative Activities.
