Description
This opportunity, offered by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) at NIH, is designed to support outstanding students enrolled in integrated dual-degree dental (DDS/DMD) and PhD programs in the United States. The award provides a structured, mentored transition from predoctoral training (F99 phase) to postdoctoral research (K00 phase) in dental, oral, and craniofacial (DOC) research. The F99/K00 award is a two-phase, contiguous support mechanism:
- F99 Phase: Supports the completion of dual-degree training (1–2 years).
- K00 Phase: Provides up to 3 years of mentored postdoctoral research and career development.
