Description
This opportunity provides mentored career development awards (K08) for early-career clinician-scientists to establish independent research programs in clinical pain management, as part of the NIH HEAL Initiative. The program is designed for individuals who will serve as lead investigators of independent clinical trials, feasibility studies, or ancillary studies related to pain research. The goal is to expand the workforce of clinical pain researchers to address critical gaps in pain management and support the NIH HEAL Initiative’s mission to improve pain care and reduce opioid reliance.
