Description
This funding opportunity supports research projects that test innovative digital healthcare interventions implemented at the point of care, with the goal of improving the quality of healthcare services delivery. The program uses the Phased Innovation Award (R21/R33) mechanism, providing an initial R21 phase for developmental work and, contingent on progress, an R33 phase for expanded activities. The focus is on technology-driven, patient-centered solutions, including artificial intelligence, clinical decision support systems, and patient-facing digital health technologies. Projects must evaluate the impact of these interventions on care quality, workflow, equity, and patient outcomes, and include robust plans for dissemination and scalability.
