Description
The Maternal and Child Health Research Consortium (MCH RC) program, administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), aims to create a national network of researchers dedicated to advancing maternal and child health (MCH). This program consolidates prior funding mechanisms—including research networks, single investigator innovation studies, and field-initiated research—into a unified consortium.
In fiscal year 2025, this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) replaces the Research Network Program, including the Pregnancy-Related Care Research Network (PRCRN) and Pediatric Research in Office Settings (PROS). Awardees will develop research-practice partnerships with community organizations, families with lived experience, and existing MCHB programs such as Healthy Start, Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV), and Title V programs. These partnerships are intended to identify and disseminate best practices that maximize the impact of research on maternal and child health outcomes.
Applicants are expected to focus on one or more priority categories and topics within maternal and child health, leveraging collaborative approaches to improve health equity and service delivery.
