Description
This funding opportunity from the Indian Health Service aims to enhance and sustain comprehensive, culturally responsive dementia care and services for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people living with dementia, as well as their caregivers and communities. The program supports Tribes, Tribal organizations, and Urban Indian organizations already working toward dementia care, helping them to expand clinical capacity, develop sustainable models, and share best practices. Funded projects must address at least two of five primary drivers of comprehensive dementia care: awareness and recognition, accurate and timely diagnosis, interdisciplinary assessment, management and referral, and caregiver support.
