This program provides grant funding to eligible organizations to plan, develop, manage, and implement adaptive sports and equine therapy activities for Veterans and members of the Armed Forces with disabilities. Funded activities may include instruction, participation, and competition in adaptive sports; training and technical assistance for program staff; athlete assessment and classification; sport-specific training; program development; equipment and supplies; and program evaluation. The program aims to expand the quantity and quality of sustainable adaptive sports opportunities available to disabled Veterans and service members, addressing both physical and mental health needs.
