Description
This opportunity supports the continued operation of a national human tissue and organ research resource. The program’s goal is to ensure biomedical researchers have access to a wide variety of high-quality human tissues and organs—both diseased and normal, from diverse systems and ages—for laboratory-based studies. The resource is expected to handle procurement, preservation, quality control, and distribution of biospecimens, and to provide associated metadata and user support. The program is administered as a cooperative agreement (U42) with substantial NIH involvement.
