The Humanities Connections program, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), aims to expand the role of the humanities in undergraduate education at two- and four-year institutions. It encourages collaborative partnerships between humanities faculty and faculty from other academic disciplines to develop or implement curricula that integrate humanities with non-humanities fields. These fields may include physical and natural sciences, professional programs such as law and business, computer science, data science, and other technology-driven areas.
Projects must meaningfully incorporate the subject matter, approaches, and learning activities of both humanities and non-humanities disciplines. The program supports two types of grants:
