Summary: Supports the purchase or upgrade of a single high-end, commercially available instrument or integrated system essential for NIH-supported biomedical research.
This opportunity provides funding to purchase or upgrade a single, high-end, specialized, commercially available instrument or integrated system for shared use in biomedical research. The program is intended for groups of NIH-supported investigators whose research requires expensive, cutting-edge instrumentation that cannot be justified for individual projects. Typical instruments include, but are not limited to, mass spectrometers, NMR spectrometers, electron and light microscopes, flow cytometers, DNA/protein sequencers, robotic screening systems, and biomedical imagers. The program aims to enhance the research capabilities of institutions by providing access to advanced technologies, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and supporting NIH-funded research projects.
