Summary: Supports a Data Coordinating Center to provide project coordination, data management, and biostatistical support for multi-site clinical trials of natural products (Phase III+), in collaboration with a Clinical Coordinating Center.
Key Information: A DCC application must be submitted simultaneously with a companion CCC application; both are required for review.
Description
This opportunity funds a Data Coordinating Center (DCC) to support investigator-initiated, multi-site clinical trials (Phase III and beyond) of natural products, in partnership with a Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC). The DCC is responsible for overall project coordination, administrative oversight, data management, and biostatistical support, including trial design, data analysis, and reporting. The DCC must be independent of the CCC and will work closely to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the trial across multiple sites.
The program is administered by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) at NIH and uses the U24 cooperative agreement mechanism. Both a DCC and a corresponding CCC application must be submitted together for consideration. Projects must align with NCCIH’s research mission and priorities.
