Description
This federal formula grant program, administered by the Office of Indian Education (OIE) within the Department of Education, provides funding to support the development and implementation of comprehensive elementary and secondary school programs serving American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) students. The goal is to address the unique cultural, language, and educational needs of AIAN students and ensure they meet challenging state academic standards. Projects must be developed in consultation with Indian parents, tribes, and organizations, and must include culturally responsive activities.
