Description
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), offers the Archives Collaboratives grant to support partnerships of three or more archival repositories. The goal is to enhance public discovery and use of archival collections by working collaboratively. This program particularly encourages projects that advance the capacity and visibility of small and underserved local archives and repositories. A special focus is placed on collections that document the voices and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
This grant aims to foster institutional advancement through cooperative efforts, improving access to historical records that might otherwise remain difficult to find or use. Eligible projects may include activities such as joint cataloging, shared digital platforms, coordinated outreach, or other collaborative strategies that increase the accessibility and impact of archival holdings.
