Description
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Manama offers small grants to support projects that promote mutual understanding and strengthen bilateral relations between the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Projects must include a clear connection to U.S. culture, experts, organizations, or institutions, and should advance shared strategic priorities. The program is open to a wide range of applicants and encourages proposals that align with the U.S.–Bahrain Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), the U.S.–Bahrain Strategic Dialogue, and the Department of State’s Integrated Country Strategy for Bahrain.
Priority areas for funding in FY25 include scientific and technological cooperation, digital literacy, youth skills, economic opportunities, regional security, cultural heritage, academic/professional exchanges, and space cooperation. Applications outside these areas are accepted but may be less competitive.
