Description
This opportunity funds Centers for Diabetes Translation Research (CDTRs) to advance research across the translational science spectrum (from bedside to clinical practice, community settings, dissemination, and implementation). The program aims to accelerate the translation of diabetes research into real-world practice, with a strong emphasis on health equity and reducing diabetes-related health disparities. CDTRs are expected to provide specialized expertise, tools, education, and support through core services, fostering multidisciplinary collaborations among academic institutions, healthcare systems, community organizations, and other partners.
The program encourages the development of novel methods and research cores, particularly those that can inform or be adapted for disparity-reduction strategies.
