Description
The FY 25 Fostering Access, Rights and Equity (FARE) Grant Program, administered by the Women's Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor, funds projects aimed at assisting marginalized and underserved women workers impacted by gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in the workplace. This includes violence and harassment occurring during work, linked to work, or arising from work.
The program focuses on preventing and responding to GBVH, which is widespread across industries and severely affects the safety and economic security of women workers and survivors. Survivors often face additional losses of employment rights and benefits.
Grant recipients will implement projects that:
- Build awareness about GBVH and its impacts.
- Connect women to federal and state workplace rights and benefits.
- Employ worker- and survivor-driven strategies to shift workplace norms and improve conditions.
The program emphasizes empowering survivors and addressing systemic barriers to equity and safety in the workplace.
