Description
This opportunity supports the operation of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program Technical Assistance Center (SHIP TAC). The SHIP TAC serves as a centralized source of information, expertise, and technical assistance for the 54 SHIP grantees across all U.S. states, territories, and the District of Columbia. The Center's mission is to empower, educate, and assist Medicare-eligible individuals, their families, and caregivers by supporting SHIP grantees with outreach, counseling, training, resource development, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and disseminating training and technical assistance for SHIPs.
- Maintaining a comprehensive, secure, and user-friendly website and resource library.
- Supporting workforce development, including recruitment, training, and retention of SHIP counselors and volunteers.
- Facilitating peer-to-peer learning and sharing of best practices.
- Providing support for SHIP program management, data systems, and performance evaluation.
- Promoting innovation and partnerships within the SHIP network and with other ACL Resource Centers.
