Description
The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) at the U.S. Department of Labor is requesting information to inform future programming aimed at improving working conditions in the processing of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (E-waste). This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to gather insights, recommendations, and promising practices from a broad range of stakeholders—including researchers, NGOs, businesses, worker organizations, and governments—focused on issues such as labor rights, occupational safety, supply chain challenges, and formalization of the e-waste sector.
Key focus areas include:
- Understanding global e-waste processing activities, worker demographics, and sector structure.
