Description
The DOT Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is soliciting applications for its Aircraft Pilots Workforce Development Grant Program. This initiative aims to address the growing need for pilots and unmanned aircraft systems operators by funding projects that provide meaningful educational experiences, facilitate career transitions (including for veterans), and expand the diversity and capacity of the aviation workforce. At least 20% of the total funding will be allocated to the Willa Brown Aviation Education Program, targeting opportunity zones and underrepresented populations.
Eligible projects can include curriculum development, scholarships, internships, apprenticeship programs, outreach to underrepresented groups, and other activities that build the pipeline of future pilots and unmanned aircraft systems operators.
