Description
This opportunity, administered by the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP), provides grant funding to assist state and local governments in the acquisition and long-term preservation of battlefield lands associated with the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War. The goal is to permanently protect these historically significant sites by acquiring either fee-simple or less-than-fee (easement) interests, ensuring their conservation, public access, and interpretation for future generations. Funding is provided through the Land and Water Conservation Fund and is awarded competitively.
