Description
This funding opportunity from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) invites proposals for research and evaluation projects focused on youth justice. The goal is to generate evidence that can improve policies and practices within the youth justice system. NIJ is particularly interested in projects addressing one or more of the following four topic areas:
- Youth Justice System Prosecution – Research and evaluation related to prosecutorial practices and their impact on youth outcomes.
- Youth Justice Defense Delivery Systems – Studies examining the delivery and effectiveness of defense services for youth.
- Youth Reentry Practices – Evaluations of programs and practices that support youth reentering the community after justice system involvement.
- Youth Justice Reinvestment Studies – Resubmissions of prior youth justice reinvestment research to further explore or expand findings.
The funding aims to support rigorous, policy-relevant research that can inform decision-makers and practitioners working to improve youth justice outcomes.
