Description
The U.S. Embassy Managua, through the U.S. Department of State, invites organizations and individuals to propose projects that advance U.S. public diplomacy objectives and reinforce connections between the people of the United States and Nicaragua. This opportunity is designed to support initiatives that promote mutual understanding, address shared challenges, and foster collaboration in priority areas.
Projects must include a clear U.S. element—such as involvement of U.S. experts, organizations, or institutions—and should align with one or more of the following priority objectives:
- Promoting Information Integrity: Countering information manipulation, strengthening independent media, increasing access to credible information, and improving media/digital literacy in Nicaragua.
- Fostering Economic Prosperity: Supporting economic growth, skills development, education, and resources that contribute to Nicaragua’s economy.
- Encouraging Safe and Legal Migration: Reducing irregular migration and raising awareness of legal migration pathways.
The application process is two-step: first, submit a concise Statement of Interest (SOI); selected applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal.
