Description
This opportunity invites applications from single institutions or consortia to participate in the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Cooperative Research Centers (AADCRC) program. The program funds centers that integrate clinical and translational research to study the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of asthma, rhinitis (allergic and non-allergic), chronic rhinosinusitis, atopic dermatitis, food allergy, and drug allergy. The overarching goal is to improve understanding of disease pathogenesis and provide a foundation for new, effective treatments and prevention strategies.
Centers are expected to conduct multidisciplinary, synergistic research, with a strong focus on human disease. The program encourages both basic and clinical research, including pilot clinical trials, mechanistic studies, and the development of new research resources.
