This opportunity supports the renewal of the Data Analysis and Sharing Center (DASC) for the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS), a major U.S. epidemiological cohort tracking health, comorbidities, and quality of life among middle-aged and older adults living with HIV (PLWH) and comparable individuals without HIV (PLWOH). The DASC will serve as the central hub for data management, analysis, sharing, and biostatistical support, enabling continued follow-up of a deeply phenotyped cohort of approximately 5,700 participants.
The DASC will modernize data systems, enhance data sharing and security, and provide analytic leadership to support multidisciplinary research on the complex web of biological, behavioral, social, and environmental determinants affecting health outcomes in this population. The initiative is a limited competition, open only to institutions previously funded under RFA-HL-19-007.
