Description
This program, administered by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Indian Education, provides discretionary grants to support the training and professional development of Native American individuals to become teachers and administrators. The goal is to increase the number of qualified Native educators and leaders serving Native American students, particularly in schools and districts with high proportions of Indian students. The program funds pre-service and induction activities, including support for degree completion, licensure, and job placement, as well as induction services for new teachers and administrators.
