Description
This federal grant program, administered by the Department of Education’s Office of Indian Education, provides financial support for community-driven projects that develop and share innovative services and programs to improve educational opportunities and achievement for Indian students. The program specifically seeks to address community-level challenges and promote college and career readiness among Native youth. Projects must be designed and implemented in partnership with Tribal entities and local education agencies, and should be informed by evidence and community input.
The FY 2025 competition prioritizes projects that:
- Foster partnerships with local businesses for career preparation programs.
- Expand access to early learning opportunities that are culturally and linguistically responsive.
- Are led by or in partnership with Tribal organizations, with Tribal direction throughout the project.
