Description
This funding opportunity from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) aims to support the development of objective, independent knowledge and validated tools to reduce violence against women (VAW), promote justice for victims, and enhance criminal justice responses. The program seeks research and evaluation projects addressing a broad spectrum of violence against women, including:
- Domestic violence (DV) and family violence (FV)
- Intimate partner violence (IPV)
- Rape, sex trafficking, and sexual violence (SV)
- Stalking
- Teen dating violence (TDV), also known as adolescent relationship abuse (ARA)
- Trauma resulting from these crimes and the criminal justice system's response
NIJ is particularly interested in high-quality evaluations that test programs, practices, models, or interventions aimed at:
- Enhancing engagement with the justice system for women and girls who have been victimized
- Improving accountability within the criminal justice system for individuals who perpetrate violence against women and girls
