Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), through the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), is soliciting proposals to establish a University Center of Excellence (uCoE) focused on Compositional Optimization, Dynamical Systems, and Control (CODAC). This initiative aims to foster collaborative, high-priority research that addresses critical research needs of the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF).
The uCoE will be a joint effort involving multiple AFRL technical directorates, including AFOSR, the Information Directorate (RI), the Autonomy Capability Team (ACT3), and the Munitions Directorate (RW). The center will conduct unclassified basic and applied research (6.1 and 6.2 funding categories) that advances joint optimization and decision-making capabilities relevant to Air and Space Force missions.
This opportunity is designed for an outstanding U.S. university or a team of universities capable of performing collaborative research that integrates compositional optimization techniques with dynamical systems and control theory to meet Air Force and Space Force operational challenges.
