Description
The Tribal Wildlife Grants (TWG) Program provides technical and financial assistance to federally recognized Tribes for the development and implementation of conservation programs benefiting fish, wildlife, and their habitats. The program is designed to support a wide range of activities, including those focused on species of cultural or traditional importance to Tribes, regardless of whether they are hunted, fished, gathered, or listed as threatened or endangered.
Eligible activities include conservation planning, management actions, research, habitat mapping, field surveys, population monitoring, habitat protection and enhancement, and conservation education. The program is flexible, allowing Tribes to address their unique conservation priorities and build capacity for long-term resource management.
