Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Walla Walla District is offering a cooperative agreement to support outdoor education and training, flood control infrastructure maintenance, environmental and recreational resource management, and enhanced public engagement at the Mill Creek Project in Walla Walla, Washington. The program is designed to provide hands-on job training and education for young adults (ages 18+), particularly those interested in natural resources careers, while promoting responsible stewardship of public lands and resources.
The agreement will fund three, one-week work sessions over a five-month period, focusing on activities such as trail repair, invasive species removal, and tree/shrub planting. The program aims to develop future water and natural resource professionals by providing technical, applied, and practical job skills not otherwise available.
