Description
This opportunity supports solutions-oriented research aimed at transforming the diagnosis and prognosis of Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (AD/ADRD). The program seeks projects that address significant barriers to timely, accurate, and meaningful diagnosis and prognosis, with a strong emphasis on community collaboration and translational impact. Leveraging existing resources and cohorts, especially those addressing critical health challenges, is encouraged.
Distinctive features include the option for multiple principal investigators (PIs) through the Career Initiation or Transition (CIT) Partnership Option, and a strict requirement for community collaboration. Projects must represent a non-incremental advance in the field and be responsive to the needs of people living with AD/ADRD and their communities.
