Description
The U.S. Embassy in Honduras, through its Public Diplomacy Section (PDS), is offering small grants to support projects that foster stronger ties between the United States and Honduras. The program seeks to advance U.S. interests and bilateral cooperation by funding initiatives that include a clear American element—such as collaboration with U.S. experts, organizations, or institutions—and promote understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.
Priority program areas include:
- Regional security cooperation (e.g., countering illegal immigration, violent extremism, and transnational threats)
- Anti-corruption, transparency, and democracy (e.g., public education on corruption, press freedom, human rights, non-partisan election projects)
- Economic prosperity (e.g., business development, skills training, infrastructure, cybersecurity, English language proficiency)
- Science, technology, and innovation (e.g., AI applications, technical education, celebrating American scientific advances)
Projects must be completed within 12 months and should demonstrate sustainability, measurable outcomes, and a multiplier effect beyond the grant period.
