The Deep Brain Stimulation Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is designed to train neurologists or neurosurgeons to become highly skilled in deep brain stimulation (DBS), a therapy for patients with severe essential tremor, advanced Parkinson's disease, and dystonia. The fellowship also includes training in intraoperative physiology, management of brain stimulators postoperatively, and encourages active participation in research. The program is highly active with nearly 100 procedures performed annually.
