--- ## Description The ACS-Hach Land Grant Undergraduate Scholarship provides substantial financial support to undergraduate students majoring in chemistry (or eligible chemistry-related disciplines) at one of 72 ACS partner institutions in the United States. The program is specifically designed for students who intend to pursue a career teaching high school chemistry. Selection is based on chemistry aptitude, interest in teaching, and financial need, with the process administered by the partner universities. --- ## Due Dates - **Application Deadline:** April 1, 2025 (Note: Deadlines may vary by partner institution; confirm with your university's scholarship office.) --- ## Funding Amount - **Award:** Up to $10,000 per academic year - **Duration:** Renewable for up to six years, contingent on continued eligibility - **Use of Funds:** May be applied to tuition, books, room and board, and other education-related expenses --- ## Eligibility Applicants must: - Be enrolled full-time at one of the [ACS partner institutions](https://www.acs.org/funding/scholarships-fellowships/acs-hach-land-grant-undergraduate-scholarship/partners.html) - Major in chemistry or an eligible chemistry-related discipline (see below) - Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale - Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident - Express a clear intention to teach high school chemistry after graduation ### Eligible Chemistry-Related Disciplines - Agricultural Chemistry - Biochemistry - Ceramic Science/Chemistry/Technology - Chemical Engineering - Chemical Technology - Environmental Science/Engineering (chemistry-based) - Forensic Science/Chemistry - Food Science (not Nutrition) - Industrial Chemistry - Materials Science or Petroleum Engineering - Nanotechnology or Nanoscience - Paper and Pulp Technology - Toxicology --- ## Application Process - **Contact your institution:** The application and selection process is managed by each partner university.
