Description
The Advancing Leadership initiative by the MacArthur Foundation is dedicated to fostering leadership among Chicago’s nonprofit sector, with a focus on empowering individuals and organizations representing diverse backgrounds and communities. The program aims to strengthen leaders’ capacity to inform and improve decision-making across the city, ultimately promoting more equitable policies and practices. Support is provided through funding for leadership programs, direct awards to individual leaders, and capacity-building grants for organizations. The initiative centers on three focus areas: Civic Partnerships, Culture, Equity, and the Arts, and Vital Communities.
