The Michelson Prizes: Next Generation Grants are annual awards of $150,000 each, designed to support inventive early-career researchers working to overcome critical barriers in human immunology, vaccine development, and immunotherapy for major global diseases. Funded by the Michelson Medical Research Foundation, this program seeks research proposals that are highly innovative, potentially disruptive, and capable of deepening our understanding of immune processes essential to vaccine and therapeutic success. Applicants are encouraged from a broad range of disciplines—including but not limited to clinical research, biochemistry, molecular biology, protein engineering, computational science, AI/machine learning, biophysics, and nanotechnology—so long as the proposed research clearly articulates its impact on human immunology or vaccine science.
