Description
This grant program, funded by the McKnight Foundation through the Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC), aims to expand arts access, arts education, and cultural heritage opportunities across the nine-county LRAC region in Minnesota. It supports arts organizations, nonprofits (with arts as a primary focus), cultural heritage groups, local governments, educational institutions, and established artist groups—especially those integrating the arts into community and economic development. Projects should create, produce, and present high-quality arts experiences, foster arts education for all ages, and celebrate Minnesota’s diverse cultural traditions. Capacity-building, professional development, public art, and community engagement are emphasized.
