    The AAAS Newcomb Cleveland Prize is the oldest award presented by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Established in 1923 and supported by The Fodor Family Trust, this annual prize recognizes the author(s) of an outstanding research article published in Science that presents original research data, theory, or synthesis, and represents a fundamental contribution to basic knowledge or a technical achievement of far-reaching consequence. The prize aims to celebrate and promote significant advancements in scientific research across all disciplines.
