This fellowship offers a unique, immersive opportunity for one child and adolescent psychiatrist to serve for ten months in a congressional office in Washington, D.C. The program is designed for individuals passionate about child and/or mental health advocacy, providing direct experience with the federal legislative process, healthcare policy, and governmental affairs. Fellows will engage with policymakers and advocacy groups, represent the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, and are expected to share their experiences with the AACAP community and remain involved in advocacy initiatives after completion.
