Summary: Supports psychiatry residents, fellows, or early career psychiatrists in mentored projects advancing awareness and leadership in child welfare and maltreatment prevention.
This award provides up to two child and adolescent psychiatry residents, fellows, or early career psychiatrists the opportunity to work with an experienced mentor to design and implement a project focused on child welfare, foster care, or child maltreatment prevention/intervention. The program’s goal is to foster expertise, leadership, and collaboration in these fields through hands-on project development, professional mentorship, and scholarly dissemination. Awardees are expected to complete a 12–16 week project, submit detailed reports, and co-author an article for AACAP News with their mentor.
