This grant program is designed to address the significant cancer burden in Latin America by supporting early-career investigators based in the region. The aim is to foster a pipeline of talented researchers who can generate locally relevant knowledge to inform clinical, public health, and policy guidelines for cancer control and treatment. Research may span any area of cancer, including epidemiology, prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, supportive and palliative care, behavioral research, and survivorship. The grant is intended to catalyze further research funding and career development for recipients, contributing to biomedical, academic, economic, and social progress in Latin America.
