Summary: Supports independent investigators advancing research on Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) in cancer, requiring use of Novocure’s Inovitro®/inovivo® systems.
Key Information: Applicants must be AACR Active members in good standing by the deadline; research must incorporate Inovitro®/inovivo® systems.
This grant supports innovative basic or translational research projects focused on Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields)—a novel anti-cancer modality using alternating electric fields to disrupt cancer cell division. The goal is to deepen understanding of TTFields' mechanisms and accelerate new therapeutic strategies, including combination therapies and clinical translation. Proposals must incorporate Novocure’s Inovitro® and/or inovivo® systems into their experimental design (provided by Novocure as needed, with training). Projects promoting in vitro to in vivo transition, mechanistic studies, omics, immunological aspects, or combination with approved agents are encouraged. Collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches, particularly for those new to TTFields, are welcomed.
