This award is intended to foster the academic and scientific development of early-stage dentist-scientists, especially alumni of the SCADA Program, by providing financial support to help establish research infrastructure, complete research projects, or prepare research for publication. The overarching goal is to increase the number of successfully funded dentist-scientists in higher academic ranks within dental, oral, and craniofacial biology. The recipient must submit a report within 12 months detailing the progress achieved as a result of the award.
