--- ## Description The AADOCR William B. Clark Fellowship is designed to support investigators in clinical periodontology by providing a short-term fellowship focused on gaining expertise in advanced clinical research methodologies. The fellowship honors the memory of William B. Clark, a leader in oral biology and periodontology, and aims to foster the development of new skills in an established laboratory setting. Recipients spend 3 weeks to 3 months in training, with the opportunity to initiate a research project using the newly acquired methodologies. After the fellowship, awardees are required to submit a brief report outlining the benefits and impact of the training. --- ## Due Dates - Applications Open: July 14, 2025 - Applications Close: October 1, 2025 Fellowship recipients are announced at the AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition. --- ## Funding Amount - One award of $5,000 is available. - The funding is intended to cover travel and other training-related expenses during the fellowship period (3 weeks to 3 months). --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: - Hold a first professional degree (e.g., DDS, DMD, MD, or equivalent). - Be appointed at an accredited dental school or academic research center in the United States. - Be a current member of the [AADOCR](https://www.aadocr.org/membership). --- ## Application Process Applicants must submit the following materials: - Letter stating interest in the award (maximum 2 pages). - Overview of proposed training areas (3–4 pages, double-spaced), including how the experience will impact future research. - Brief description of the training facility (maximum 1 page). - Curriculum Vitae or biosketch (any format, up to 5 pages). - Letter of support from the proposed mentor (maximum 2 pages).
