This grant program is designed to empower AAUW branches and state affiliates to implement hands-on, innovative STEM programming for girls in grades K–12. The aim is to advance gender equity in STEM by providing funding for projects that foster girls’ interest, confidence, and skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. Funded initiatives should expand local impact, demonstrate AAUW’s mission in action, and encourage partnerships with community organizations. Projects may include new or ongoing STEM initiatives, Tech Trek camps, or pilot projects, and must focus on skill-building, confidence and identity development, college/career preparation, or mentorship by women in STEM.
