The Aboriginal Community Safety Development Contribution Program (ACSDCP) provides funding to support Indigenous organizations, governments, and municipalities working with Indigenous communities to develop and implement community-driven safety initiatives. The program encompasses two main streams: the Aboriginal Community Safety Planning Initiative (ACSPI), which helps communities develop and carry out safety plans, and the Indigenous Community Corrections Initiative (ICCI), which focuses on alternatives to incarceration and reintegration support for Indigenous offenders. Funding is available for a range of activities including knowledge building, capacity development, implementation planning, and project execution, with an emphasis on culturally relevant, holistic, and community-endorsed approaches.
