--- ## Description This Horizon Europe call aims to accelerate the uptake and advancement of life-cycle assessment (LCA) tools, methodologies, and data to improve the environmental sustainability and efficiency of chemicals, materials, and their resulting products throughout their entire life cycle. The grant supports projects that will provide robust scientific evidence for EU sustainability policies and regulatory frameworks, such as the Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation, EU Ecolabel, and Green Claims Directive. Projects are expected to develop advanced, user-friendly LCA tools and methodologies, create comprehensive LCA datasets for at least three relevant chemicals or materials, address data gaps using digital technologies (including AI and machine learning), and ensure compliance with the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework. Additional expected outcomes include feeding sustainability databases, providing guidance for circularity scenario modeling, ensuring cost-effectiveness and user-friendliness for industry (including SMEs), and integrating new LCA approaches with existing safety assessment tools.
