Description
This grant initiative is designed to improve the health and economic well-being of Genesee County, Michigan, by addressing food deserts and increasing the availability of fresh, healthy, and affordable food. The program fosters coordinated efforts within the local food system, such as the Flint Fresh Mobile Market and Flint Fresh Food Hub, to strengthen supply and distribution chains. It also encourages community-based research projects to deepen understanding of Flint’s food system and develop sustainable solutions that enhance healthy food access for all residents.
